Bio:

Rie Fukuzaki is an undergraduate senior pursuing her B.S in Industrial Design, a minor in Sustainability, and a certificate in Biomimicry at ASU’s Herberger Institute for Design and Arts. Rie joined the Makerspace team in 2019, designing products to be used on the ASU Tempe campus. She learned valuable skills working with ASU faculty and students leading workshops on sewing, laser cutting, and 3D modeling. In addition to the workshops, she has learned how to operate sergers, video studio equipment, cricut, vinyl cutter, arduinos, book scanners, 3D scanning, VR, and electronic soldering.

Rie’s passions lies in furniture design, jewelry design, and housewares. When she is not designing, her interests include, wood working, soldering metal, baking, and fishing.
